AkadaCampus is a not-for-profit organization. Our vision is to provide an affordable, available, anywhere, online training platform. We empower corporations, large and small teams, and individuals to better themselves through straightforward and engaging online learning. Companies do not want just college graduates anymore. They want employees with specific skill sets. One of our goals is to provide a learning platform to help you achieve your particular skill sets. All our courses are micro-courses because microlearning is one of the most effective forms of learning and training. Microlearning is the breaking down of information into topical, bite-sized chunks. By interacting with these highly-targeted learning bursts, lessons become much easier to digest and increase the likelihood of knowledge retention. Microlearning concentrates on the essential elements of any subject area, making educational learning and company training much more effective. Converging on fewer topics makes knowledge more likely to transfer from short-term to long-term memory where it is embedded. Human memory can only hold up to five new pieces of information before it gets lost or overwritten. Our organization observes that eLearning courses that employ micro-learning typically see completion rates rise from as low as 20 percent to around 95 percent. With microlearning, learners feel more extraordinarily accomplished because rewards are earned quickly, and progress is tangible. Feeling like they have taken a significant step towards their goals in a short time motivates learners to return again and again. Our micro-courses are short, concise, and make outcomes clear. In our micro-courses, we implement a single learning objective that lets us focus on what we know is essential, giving learners clear direction and objective goals. We also employed repetition by repeating content at appropriate intervals to bolster the knowledge in learners' long-term memories. Not only will your learners be able to understand concepts quickly, but they will also hang on to that understanding for longer.
