- Coordinate intervention activities and assess individuals for eligibility in Department and community resource programs.
- Gather, examine, and analyze records to secure information about suspected violations, and maintain accurate case documentation.
- Use effective interview and assessment skills during home visits to collect critical case information from victims, caregivers, and alleged perpetrators.
- Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of elderly and disabled adults, including responding to emergency hotlines and traveling within a multi-county area.
- Provide presentations and technical assistance to community organizations, law enforcement, and health care providers, while maintaining positive relationships with agencies and service providers.
- Represent the agency in court and administrative hearings, complete referrals for legal actions, and ensure appropriate communication with multidisciplinary agencies.
